London fog – tea heaven

What is a London Fog?
For those of you who don’t know, a London Fog is a sweetened earl grey tea latte with foamy milk and vanilla. Also known as an Earl Grey Tea Latte originated in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The most important factors are these:
- The right kind of tea- good quality Earl Grey Tea is essential, at Scoops we use Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea Co. Earl grey
- Hot, foamy milk – you can use whatever kind of milk you like in a latte
- Vanilla – some coffee shops use their pumps of vanilla but vanilla extract is superior
- Sweetener – sugar or a sugar-alternative, as you wish
Vermont Artiscan Coffee & Tea co. Earl Grey is produced by adding bergamot flower blossoms to the black tea during the drying process. This natural floral infusion produces a synergy between the two resulting in a beautifully aromatic medium bodied tea.

However you make your London Fog, we hope you love this drink every bit as much as we do!

- While the tea is steeping, heat the milk in a pan or in the microwave until steaming.
- Use a milk frother for about 15 seconds, until the milk doubles in size and is super foamy.
- Pour the milk and froth over the hot tea and stir gently.
